If I never told another lie...
When someone asks me, why my musics up so loud... I would say;
"Because it distracts me from my thoughts"
When someone asks me, why I'm so quiet or shy... I would say;
"Because I believe everything I say is stupid"
When someone asks me, why I wear black... I would say;
"Black is meant to make you look slimmer"
When someone asks me, what I did when I wasnt at school... I would say;
"I slept until ridiculous times in the afternoon, sometimes not even bothering to get changed, or even eat"
When someone asks me, why I have so many pillows and blankets on the bed I would say;
"Because when I go to sleep, I pretend they are people I love, protecting me "
When someone asks me, why I hate school so much I would say;
"Because I can't cope with being around so many people at once"
When someone asks me, If I've ever loved someone so much it hurts I would say;
"I have, and that someone left me, 3 years ago"
When someone asks me, If I'm happy with my life I would say;
"As happy as anyone can be, when your a fuck up"
When someone asks me why I like breaking benjamin so much, I would say;
"In their songs they express a lot of feelings about addiction - something I can relate too"
When someone asks me, If I like writing, why don't I show many people I would say;
"I don't believe my writings good enough to be read"
When someone asks me what I fear most, I would say;
"Myself"
And finally, when someone out there asks me... why I lie, I would say, with 100% certainty, that they wouldnt believe me, or think I want the attention
Because surely a shy, average outcast couldnt possibly have so many secrets.
Because surely an unnatractive, overweight nerd couldnt possibly live a lie,
Because surely a quiet, self conscious,mistake couldnt possibly have arms covered in scars..
Lies make my life so much easier.... but their heaviness - is almost unbearable... because in the end, you even lie to yourself
