Lose Yourself
'Till I Collapse
Lose Yourself is a song written by Eminem about seizing oppurtunity and never giving up on what you love no matter what. It first appeared on the album 8 Mile Soundtrack which was released in 2002.
'Till I Collapse is also written by Eminem about never giving up and living life to its fullest until the very end. It originally appeared on the album The Eminem Show which was also released in 2002.
Eminem's real name is Marshall Mathers III. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1973. He started his rap career before he dropped out of high school in 9th grade. He joined Basement Productions, the New Jacks, and D12 before starting his solo career. Eminem is still around today and he is still popular among fans of rap.

Curtain Call
Eminem created his alter ego, Slim Shady, during his time with D12, a hip-hop/rap group. They originally wanted 12 of the best rappers , but only ended up with 6. So, each of the members created an alter ego. Eminem's was Slim Shady because it showed his darker side. He blamed all the bad stuff that happened to him on Slim.

Other Songs By Eminem
I chose these songs because I think that they are some of his best songs. They relate to class because we talked about rap starting in the 80's and Eminem started his rap career in the middle to late 80's.
