ROMEO & JULIET
Objectives of the Novel Study: I can read new and varied texts (like Shakespeare) and explore new ideas using that texts. I can increase my vocabulary. I can appreciate different styles and perspectives. I can debate the issues of love vs. hate, right vs. wrong, companionship vs. isolation, and many more. I can recognize antithesis, cesura, meter and beat, and other Shakespearian techniques. I can write a problem-solution essay using formal structure, flow, conventions, quotations, and sourcing.
