The Last Supper
This painting was one of Leonardo Da Vinci's best know paintings.
Rebirth
This painting called the last supper is showing rebirth through expression of work. The art work shows of Jesus and his disciples at a dinner. Jesus has just annouced that one of them will betray him and Some people think that there are hidden messages in this piece. It is one of the many pictures that have been painted of this scene that actually depict real people doing real things. This is what makes this piece of art fit in with the Renaissance and the ideal of humanism.This piece along with all of Da Vinci's ideas shows that he was way ahead of his time.
Tie To Today
In the Renaissance this painting was very well known for the depiction of real people like I stated before. It also help to spark religious meaning in humanism. Today people may use this painting as a base to add on to a religious mural or a dome of a church. It was basically a building block up to what we can do today in society in art. Although Leonardo decided to use different materials to make this painting and it barely survived through wars and battles it has been restored. This showing that Leonardo was clever to experiment on different ideas showing a spark of interest in the creativity of this time.
