biography born in moscow russia june/ 6 /1672. He was known to be the czar that modernized russia. He died feburary/8/1725 He brought russia out of a bad time they were in. He spent most of his time fighting wars. He had a wife named Catherine and a son named Alexei.
Achievements He gave Russia power. He brought Russia from being behind to being ahead. He made the army large. He created the first russian navy. He gave expansion of trade to russia. he made the russia's army large and strong.
Decline and Legacy Peter the great died in petersburg feburary/ 8 / 1725. after his death there was a decline from the rulers fighting to get the throne. His wife Catherine continued peter's reforms of russian state.
Absolute monarch Forced nobles to leavemoscow by establishing the port city called petersburg. modernized his army by using european generals. He made russia better or alot stronger than what it used to be. In other words he westernized Russia. He got more power by the orthodox churches.
