On July 25, 1554 she married Phillip II of Spain. She would go on to reign until her death.
Mary's reign only lasted about five years. Even though she restoerd Catholicism in England, she was also responsible for over 300 executions of Pretestants. She was very concerned about heresy and the English Church.Although she was married to Phillip England did not benefit from trade with the New World.
