How to identify the different types of mixtures: -In a heterogeneous mixture you can spot out the substance that was put into another substance (e.g. salt and pepper). -In a homogeneous mixture you cannot spot the other substance, thus it all looks the salt (e.g. saltwater).
There are three differemt type of mixture and they are: Homogeneous mixtures, heterogeneous mixtures & collidal dispersions.

The Different Types of Mixtures!
What is a Solution? A solution is a mixture of one substance dissolved in another so the properties are the same throughout. A solution is composed of a solute and the solvent. The solute is the substance being dissolved and the solvent is the part of the solution that does the dissolving. The solute is of molecular size.
A few Examples of solutions would be: vinegar is a solution of acetic acid, a liquid, in water. Also syrups are solutions of sugar, a solid, in water,
What are solutes &solvents? A solute is when a substance is dissolved in another substance, usually the component of a solution present in the lesser amount. A solvent is a liquid, solid, or gas that dissolves another solid, liquid, or gaseous solute, resulting in a solution.
What is a saturated Solution? a solution in which the maximum amount of solvent has been dissolved any more solute added will sit as crystals on the bottom of the container
