Some Stories from classmates on how they read: * Student W tells us how when he reads, he finds he better comprehends the story if he is taking notes. He tells about how taking notes allows him to recall details much easier and faster when he needs a "memory boost."

Student X, here, told us about how important physcially it is to appraoch reading. He finds it vital to make sure he is sitting up straight, has plenty of space to work with, and all the proper materials are at hand and aready.

Stories from Teachers on Reading: * Teacher Z tells a story about a student who found it easier to 'chunk' the information she is reading. That mentally, this student would group details from a story into key words or phrases that helped her comprehend the 'jist' of the reading.
