Ember used to be a better place
Dear Mayor of Ember, My grand-daughter, Lina, doesn't know I'm writing this to you., but I can't keep my silence any longer. I may not have much longer to live, but I want you to know that I think the way you run this city is terrible. You violate the first amendment by allowing the Believers to sing and spead ther religion in the town square, (you can't support one particular religion!) and you also violate the ninth amendment by making it illegal for us to explore the area beyond the pipeworks, beyond Ember. We should be free to move around the city as we want! I'm too old to do anything about these things now, but my grand-daughter, Lina, will!
Hey Granny, I know you are running short on yarn at the shop, and I wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks for taking the time to unravel all of those old sweaters so that I could have brown yarn for my jacket. I know it's a lot of work when supplies run short, to have to re-use old materials, and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your hard work! See you soon, come for dinner on Friday? -Mrs. Murdo
To-Do List: -unravel brown sweater -clean yarn shop -find Poppy -wind the clock -write to Mayor about blackout -mend Lina's coat -download "Only the Good Die Young" by Billy Joel -download "The Way We Were" by Barbara Streisand
don't forget to find Poppy
be safe, Lina and Doon!
