Step 1: Santiago lives alone and poor.
Step 3: He goes out into the sea deeper than he expected and is prepared to catch a big one!
Step 4: Santiago prays to god. He recives help and catches the fish in the end.
Step 2: He is determined to catch a fish in the deep sea, and says good-bye to the boy.
Step5: Santiago catches a huge fish. As he brings the fish into shore, sharks come and nip at the fish destroying it.
Step 6: Santiago arrives home with the head of the fish and bones.
Step 1: Hero is innocent- living an ordinary life not knowing what is to come. Step 2: Hero leaves for his or hers challenge. Step 3: Hero enters the more dangerous world with a better veiw of what is to come. Step4: Trials and testing- the hero is giving powers to help, endures test of strength, and his/hers endurance. Step 5: Hero fights his/hers last and hardest fight- Hero enters another world. Then is reborn in a way. The hero is not him/her self anymore. Step 6: Returns to home- the hero restores order to the lands using their wisdom.
