The Old Man and the Sea by lia Bobek
Stage 1 - Innocence. Santiago lives a ordinary life. He is a poor fisherman living in cuba, and is unaware of what is yet to come.
Stage 2 - Departure. After going eighty-four days without catching a fish and being called unlucky, Santiago headed out to sea. However, this is the first time he will go alone.
Stage 4 - Initiation, trial, and testing. After eighty-four days without a fish Santiago finally caught one. It was the biggest fish he had ever caught. The fish fought long and hard with Santiago, pulling him farther out to sea. After a few days the fish slowed down and he was able to kill it.
Stage 6 - Return and reintegration into society. Santiago finally made it back with what was left of the fish. He was so tired he went home and went to sleep. All the village people had their respect for Santiago when they saw just how big the fish was. Most of the fish was gone but Santiago was still able to give away the head.
Stage 3 - Facing the unknown. Since all the other fisherman were making fun of Santiago and calling him unlucky, Santiago went out to sea, but this time he went farther out than he had ever gone before.
Stage 5 - Final battle. Santiago had finally one the battle with the fish, but there was still another one he needed beat. Santiago tied the fish to his boat because it was to big to fit in it. On his way back, Santiago noticed the sharks that were following his boat. He tried his best to beat the sharks but he became too weak.
