- Our bodies use carbohydrates as a source of energy, but carbohydrates are also a source of fuel for L-form bacteria. - Sugar dramatically increases your acidity levels. These high levels of acidity in the intestines destroys the friendly intestinal flora living there. - Sugar suppresses the immune system by causing the pancreas to secrete insulin, which is used to break it down; its main side-effect is to suppress the release of growth hormone in the pituitary gland, and growth hormone is a primary regulator of the immune system
You add a pound of muscle and you burn 50 extra calories. This is a common myth. How many calories you burn corrolates to how heavy you are—the more you weigh, the more you burn. A person always burns more calories the longer or harder they exercise, no matter what their intensity is. ''Theoretically, it takes burning around 3,500 calories to lose one pound of fat. So, you’re going to have to do enough workouts, at say 150 calories burned per session, to add up to 3,500 calories, or 17,500 calories for five pounds of fat, and so on..''
