Traditional Rights: 1. Property could not be seized w/out reason. 2. No taxation without representation. 3. Trial by jury 4. Power to elect representatives.
Glorious Revolution England instituted a policy of "salutary neglect," which was a hands off approach, leaving colonies to run their own affairs.
No Love for the English Government England placed governors in charge of the colonies and outlawed assemblies.
