Joan Benoit Samuelson
She is from Cape Eljzabeth,Maine. She set the world record in 1979 for the Boston Marathon while wearing the redsox hat.She got two gold medals .She is champion of first ever woman's Olympic Marathon in 1984 and she won the 3000 meters Olympic race in 1983. She wrote a book called Running Tide and Running for Woman.
