Listen to Read!!
Who Should I Market Audiobooks to?
Why Should I Promote Audiobooks?
Families that are in the car all the time Reluctant Readers Struggling Readers Teens with Busy Schedules Avid Book Readers Audio Learners Those that enjoy having a story read to them
Learning involves all the senses! So why not use your ears and develop critical listening skills, not just critical reading skills. Many readers that listen to a book find certain parts more intense or exciting when listening than they did when reading. Time is limited for everyone these days, and audiobooks allow people to enjoy a book while doing something else. They are also great for people that spend a lot of time in the car going from event to event. For your avid readers that no longer have time to read due to busy schedules audiobooks could be a prefect solution to still enjoy books. They can create a bridge to reading books for reluctant readers. Kids that may not like reading, may enjoy listening. If after listening to a book, they may go out and read the actual book. Critical thinking and listening skills are developed when listening to audio books. Critical listening skills are not well developed these days More and more audiobooks are read by actors and other speaking professionals and are well done. As Mary K. Chelton says 'I consider this format the equivalent of being read to by experts.'
