In Animal Farm, Napoleon kicked Snowball off the farm with his dogs. He does this to ensure that he has power over the farm. This is a significant event in the book because this give Napoleon total control over Animal farm. This also prevented anyone from over throwing him. In the Russian Revolution, the equivilant event is Stalin kicking Trotsky out of Russia. Stalin, who is the counterpart of Napoleon, kicked Trotsky, who is the counterpart of Snowball, out of Russia. Stalin, like Napoleon, di this to protect himself from any threat to his power. This also sent fear through Russia because Stalin's secret police, the counterpart of Napoleons' dogs, would blend in with crowds of people and look for those who were saying things against Stalin. Those who were caught were either arrested or killed.
