How Christmas is like Writing.
WRITING
You know how when you were a kid on Christmas you’d wake up early, but your incentive to get out of bed is presents. Then you get down there and you’ve discovered how many there are. Well that’s like writing; you start reading, but your incentive to continue is because of the paper’s hook and topic that you’ve just discovered in the introduction paragraph. Then you go to wake up Mom and Dad under all your excitement, so you can open them all and finally see what’s inside. Well that’s similar to the first topic paragraph. The story begins unraveling. After that, Mom begins to say it’s too early, and to wait until 7:00 at the least. So you go wait in your bed and fantasize on what you could soon behold. That’s sort of what the second topic paragraph does. It’s creating the story and reasoning to what’s to happen. Okay, so now it’s 7:00, and you're shaking Mom to get up. When she finally gets out of bed, she tells you, “Wait I need to get my camera.” So, still the anticipation lingers. The third paragraph lets your anticipation for the ending really marinate. Once Mom finally gets her camera, she wakes up dad. As all of you walk down to the tree your excitement can’t wait any longer, so you run to the tree and start tearing presents apart. Finally you know what your new belongings are. This is like the conclusion. It tells you the ending, and what you’ve found. It explains your personal experience, or how you’ve felt.
