Though our time together was short, The memories of us will remain for far too long. The one memory I will not forget Easter Sunday. You were there for me when no one else was, You had tried to help the best you can. What a good friend you were, What a good boyfriend. But the moment I will not forget, The street corner. You sitting, your aching back such a bother, Myself, resting my head on your leg, quietly sleeping without sleeping. You urged us on what had become our hunt for a bed for me, Not worrying about yourself, the trouble you'd be in for missing curfew, Your mind set on me. I sat up and we both rose, You holding out your hand for mine to slip in. Benting down to kiss my lips, Which had once stolen kisses from yours. That moment I'll probably hold for a while, Maybe even forever. For now, I'll sit here Miserable in my skin, Wishing you would come back, But praying that you don't. You took my heart, Because I gave it to you, Like a fool. I took it back with a dagger in its center on a bloodied silver platter. I won't forget. I'll always remember. But why do I want you back?
