Chapter 1. Part 1.

I woke up breathing hard and covered in sweat. It took me a while to recover from the dream. It had felt so real. He seemed like he was perfect for me. The way he had made me feel was like nothing I had ever felt before. Well, I had never felt like that because it was forbidden. As an angel, I'm suppose to be pure. My job is to help souls find their way to heaven. Angels are never to feel love because it leads to impurity. Impurity leads you to fall. Unfurling my wings, I set about straightening the feathers that had become messed up during the night. I couldn't stop thinking about him. No matter what I tried with each feather I fixed, I felt him stroking them. My body trembled at the thought. I shook myself to clear away the image. I grabbed my brush and began brushing my hair. With each stroke of the brush, my blonde hair flashed gold. With each stroke, I felt my body get more tense. "Ugh!" I shouted. I took my brush and threw it across the room. Taking my arms, I pulled my knees and hugged them to my chest. Slowly I wrapped my wings around my whole body. I sat there and tried to gather my thoughts but they were all wrapped around him. Just as I thought I was about to go crazy, a realization hit me. I jumped up and hurried for the door. Without stopping, I ran through the streets of Heaven.
