When we hear the world Magnifying glass many of us think of a detectives, like Sherlock Homes. However do we actually know how it works? All we know is a magnifying glass makes the objet on the other side, look larger. Which is because, it creates an image using your retina and a convex lens. The magnification of a magnifying glass depends on the optical power of the glass and the distance it is held from the object. The convex lens bends light rays to form a larger image of the object. If we would relate this to what we have learned in class the image would be magnified, virtual and upright.
