Free Free to run and play Free to live my life from day to day Free to stand up and sing Free to perfect my own being Free to dress how I feel Free to say what I think is real I hear the voices in my head Screaming at me to cut them out I reach for the razor Not a shout you hear from my mouth Not a cry or tear The cutting oozes out my blood I have no reason to fear Carefully I stich and wrap my cuts Afterwards I stand outside and throw down another butt They say it'll kill you, they live above What they didn't it say is it makes you feel Like your body fell in love With the fire that burns bright inside of you So I don't quit, I cannot I don't want to go back to the deep blue That clouds my soul and drowns me You've finally caught on and you say you're worried about me About my health and you're sorry you hadn't noticed before Your noise is pissing me off Shut up! I said And shut the damn door! Giving up you say you don't care, not one bit Ha! I laugh Cause frankly I don't give a shit Now do you get it? Have I made you see? I just wanna be free.
