Causes for near extinction
What's being done?
The humans now feel guilty and (most)realised that their grandkids won't see these beautiful creatures and have now (finally) decide to protect it instead of wearing it.
In order to ensure that these creatures do not go extinct, humans are doing few things to stop it from going extinct. These icnlde making a reserve for the leopards where they are able to find prey and reproudce freely. As well as that, people have been educated and awereness has been increased to ensure that local farmers do not kill snow-leopards in retaliation for killing their lifestock .Other means includes banning trade for snow leopard fur and bones.
The snow leopard is spread across 12 countries in central asia.It is estimated that there are only 5000 of them left in this region.
Save the Leopards
So what?Extinction is part of evolution!
Puny, feeble minded humans.Of course we should be trying to conserve them! Who have poached and encorached on their habitat? If they were going extinct as part of
A dead snow leopard is worth up to $200 and in a nation where the annual income is around $300 ,you can see why poachers do what they do.
nature, then fine, extinction is a natural part of evolution but the extinction of these creatures have not beenbrought about naturally. It was induced as aresult of human activity;therfore it is our duty to help save these endangered species.. In addition ,by allowing them to become extinct the foodchain would be disturbed and this could have disasterous consequences. Also, they might help inspire cures and medicine for the future and this potential would go untapped if they become extinct.
They're super cute :D
