During the 1890's, Madame CJ Walker suffered from a scalp abrasion and began to lose hair. She expierenced with many hair treatement and even made her own. She opened her own buisness and began to sell Madam Walker's Wonderful Hair Grower, a scalp conditioning and healing formula.
There are 4 major careers in the cosmetology field, hair stylists, makeup artists, nail technicians and estheticians. Cosmetology schools train students in all of the areas that are needed to become a cosmetologist. To graduate from cosmetology school, you would need to complete 1,000 hours in the field. All cosmetologist must be licensed by the state you work in.
