Castor Canadensis
It is kind of impossible and expensive to keep beavers from lakes and ponds is not very practical but fencing drain pipes and other things similar can help prevent beaver damage but can give them the materials they need to create their dams the best thing to do is Protect precious trees nearby water ways is to surround them with hardware cloth, woven wire, or other metal barriers. Construction of concrete walkways may also keep them away. Repellents aren’t safe and could harm the environment, Trapping is the most practical and affective way to control them and in some cases shooting in some states is allowed because the amount of damage caused by beaver is very bad..
The beavers fur is a positive affect the beaver has because it is good for trade and has many uses to humans by making them money by selling it and also they create a lot of aquatic habitats for organisms. they keep the water at a good level and control flooding and erosion by building dams..
The beavers could destroy the enviorment because their Dams slow the flow of water in fast streams which changes the flora and fauna and could create silting. They may flood lower lying areas and sometimes cause a significant loss of timber. They could also cause forest damage due to the flooding Damswhich would also affect animals because this could damage their homes and peoples homes along with the damage of the plants and other organisms.
Some problems beavers cause are dam building, bank burrowing, tree cutting, or flooding which can get very expensive to fix. Some problem examples are loss of timber, loss of crops, flooded properties, and caving in roads and railways.
The Castor Canadensis beaver is an animal that only has 1 mate but if the one mate that it was with dies the other will remarry or look for a new one, Beavers are sent away from their colonies usually around their second year of life right before a new litter is born. They will then make a colony of their own normally several kilometers away from their old one. They first breed around their third year of life depending on the quality of the enviorment they choose They mate between the months of January and March in colder climates and in late November or December in the south. They usally give birth to one litter of babys per year normally between April and June. The gestation period is usally 3 months which is the time the young develop in the female. They are born with fur and their eyes are fully open and they then begin to swim in 24 hours, then in several days they can dive out of their lodge with their parents to swim around.
The Castor Canadensis is found throughout almost all of the North America except for the northern regions of Canada and deserts of the southern United States and Mexico and the arctic tundra.
Beavers originally were widespread throughout almost all of the woodland streams from the Arctic Circle down to northern Mexico.

A beaver can maintain a wetland which could slow the flow of flood waters. They can help with preventing erosion and they raise the water table which creates a process that purifys the water, this happens because silt upstream from dams where toxins are broken down. The pond then grows from the water which was backed up by the dam which result in lpond weeds and lillies taking over which then causes the beaver to leave its home the dams decay and a meadow appears.
