Training Requirements You have to have a federal pilots lisence. To be an airline pilot, you have to be at least 23 years old and have 1500 hours of flight time under your belt.

Employment Prospects Between now and the year of 2016, the Number of pilots is supposed to increase by about 13 percent. The earning levels of a pilot are also supposed to increase due to the new technology of airplanes.
