Fall of Greece
- The Romans still did not take any territory from the Greeks after defeating Perseus. - The Romans they put up a stern control over Greece to prevent any spread of revolution in Greece. - After Perseus was defeated looting in Greece started - Rome was flooded with wealth from taxing defeated Greek cities for penalties - Rome began to realize that building empires poored wealth into the Roman economy. - Rome slowly piece by piece Rome took control of Greece by the time of Christ.
- 300BC Alexanders enpire split into 4 smaller empires. - All 4 constantly fought with each other over who was the heir to the empire. - The Second Punic War almost destroyed Rome. - The War made Rome suspicous of the Hellenistic world. - Rome was having trouble between the Patricians and Plebians. - 196BC Rome defeated Philip declareing Greece free from threats. - Antiochus tried to remove the Romans from Greece and Antiochus was pushed out of Greece. -Rome still declares Greece free. - The Romans flet like they were Greece's body guard wich prevented any centralized government to form to threaten Rome. -Rome again invades Greece in 176BC to stop Perseus.
