1.The song lost by Gorilla Zoe relates to the book 1984 because Winston becomes dissatisfied with his everyday life. He wants more out of life but is afraid of getting caught by the thoughtpolice. Smith becomes the owner of a diary. In which is prohitbited by the party. That becomes a way for Winston to have something of his own. Winston goes from day to day, doing as he is told. Not being able to sleep in or having to be watched under close supervision. 2.Poision by Bell Biv Devoe relates to the book 1984 because Julia is hated by Winston at first. Winston believed that she was a secret spy for the party. However, one day Smith recieves a written note with I love you on it while, helping Julia from a fall. In which gives Winston future hope and the beginning of a new relationship between the two. Winston becomes attracted to her because she has a dissapproval of the party and her sexual history with other people. They knew their love would not last forever. Julia helped Winston to become rebellious. 3.The poem, Betrayed by Andrea Peters relates to 1984 because O'brien befriends Winston and Julia. Winston however has a stronger bond with him. O'brien convinces Winston that he is in the group, Brotherhood. In which is supposely against the party. However, the whole friendship is a betrayal because Winston and Julia are put in jail. O'brien is reponsible for the brainwashing and abuse of Winston. 4.Dont forget by Demi Lovato relates to 1984 because Winston loses his love for the party. Winston shows an outbreak of rebellious behavior against the party because he does the opposite of what he is supposed to do. He owns a diary and is the lover of Julia.He becomes his own individual self for a moment. Winston begins to believe that God is of higher power and two plus two equals four not five. 5.After the love has gone by Earth, Wind and Fire relates to 1984 because Winston and Julia realize they have no desire for each other. When, they last see one another after prision. Julia tells Winston that she told on him to ease the pain she has endured. 6.Love Lockdown by Kanye West relates to 1984 because Winston falls into love with Julia based on the others who had sex with her. Also, Winston loves Big Brother because he has to. 7. Over my head (cable car) by The Fray relates to 1984 because Winston ends up loving Big Brother again and staying within the party. Even though he knows, they are not right but he believes he is nothing without them. Also, he did not want to die.
