This is what a bean seed looks like when it is planted.
This is the bean when it has grown a little bit more. It has now grown a tap root. But the seed hasn't opened yet.
Now the bean has opened and the stem has pushed it's way out of the soil and it is only small.
This is the bean when the stem has grown and it has grown some leaves.
In this picture it has got some leaf shoots. But it hasn't grown any beans yet.
The main stem has grown more and there are two leaves on it.
The bean has grown some flowers.
And that is the life cycle of a bean seed!!!
Now the bean plant has fully grown. Beans have grown because the flowers were fertilizeds by insects. Inside the beans there are more bean seeds and they can be eaten or planted. If they are planted a new life cycle begins.
