PsychoanalysisIn the case that was called Trifles, gender takes a big part. When going over all of the participant's evidence in the case I see that the male figures over look certian aspects. After I studied the evidence and interviewed Mrs.Wright I can conclude she murdered him, but with reason. I believe her act was pre-meditated and driven by rage. This was something she never has never done before, so she had to mntally prepare herself for it. Therefore explaining the strangled animals. She never could get her opinion out to her husband. From what I heard, he was very demanding and had out bursts himself. She apparently had a very depressing marraige and this was her way of getting him back for it. Signed, Omnision
Gender RolesIn my study of the Mr. and Mrs. Wright case, I came across some interesting observations. This small town is still confined to the idea that men are smarter than women. This issue became a significant problem in the case, since a group of local women were harboring evidence from my fellow detective. The evidence gave a motive to Mrs. Wright's behavior and therefore solved the case. The fact that the men in the legal system didn't even consider other evidence and a trial for Mrs. Wright showed how much this town values women. The Sheriff, and county atourney have a psychologial complex called the overconfidence effect. Which is basically what it sounds like. The subjects believe thier opinion over fact, or evidence, and most of all......motive. signed, Omnision
Case Notes Once Omnision and I arrived, the crime scene already had been contaminated. We spoke with Sherrif Peters to try to get caught up in the situation. Everyone spoke of how Mrs. Wright had been unhappy since the marriage, and we noticed the women were very close to Mrs. Wright before she got with Mr. Wright. We found many animals across the farm with strangle marks, and Mrs. Hale stole a part of evidence that we obtained as soon as she was brought into questioning.
Interview With Mrs. Wright-"What were you doing when you found Mr. Wright dead next to you?"Wright: " I was just waking up, i was so shocked, then i went to take my mediction.-"Did you hear anything in the night that explains a struggle?"Wright: " no, i was sound asleep, i think someone crept through the window.-"Ma'am, Are you on any medication that would cause you to sleep through a conflict like THIS? Evidence proves a scuffle in the night that would be noisy."Wright: " well, .....alright. did it.... but i had a good reason for it. and im not ashamed
