Atomic Symbol:Rb
Background Research -Rubidium was discovered in a mineral called Lepidolite by two men named R.W. Bunsen and G. Kirchhoff in 1861. - It reacts very violently with water, and when it's bunred it turns yellowish violet. - Twenty-third most abundant Earth crust element. - It is very soft, silvery-white metal with a slight polish when cut. - Other than research, there is not much use for Rubidium. It is easly ionised but is not used because it was not that effective compared to Caesium.
