Little Brother- In Little Brother, Marcus Yallow, not only has to overcome perosonal problems, but he attempts to overthrow the Department of Homeland Security. This seems like it is completely impossible for anyone to do, but marcus does it using everyday items. A laptop, a cellphone, and even an Xbox. Now ofcourse he has an extensive knoledge of programming and cryptology, but he is just an average peroson like you and me. I can relate to this both because I am interested in computer technology and because Marcus has other problems that can relate to everyone. That is how I can relate to Little Brother.
The Outsiders- I felt a personal connection with The Outsiders because of the plot. Even today, there are distinct cliques. Like mentioned in the book,, things are tough all over. Also, we still have problems with the underage use of drugs. That is the personal connection I have with The Outsiders.
The Odyssey- I also felt a connection with The Odyssey. It is about the heroic actions of Odysseus, but it also talks about the everyday struggles of everyone. For example Odysseus had to fight a cyclops and defeat him in order to escape, but that also involved creative thinking, somthing we all do. There are many personal struggles in the Odyssey that we can all relate to, so that is how I connected with it.
