Physics class, what a notion,
Newton’s First Law of Motion,
I’m hoping to say,
I’ll get a big “A”,
On my last, physics exam.
FBDs, how exciting,
Force and torque, how delighting,
Were learning today,
The Ms. Gende way,
How to find net forces all around.
It all is based on Newton’s Laws of Motion,
Such powerful statements to understand,
So powerful they cause quite a commotion,
The knowledge of our world they can expand.
Later on, in the classroom,
We’ll find the normal of a push broom,
It’s easy as pie,
Calculations in a wondrous physicsland.
To keep a major bridge from collapsing,
Or make sure that the cables hold the weight,
To find the tension on an anchor ring,
These all can be solved without debate.
Translational and rotational,
Equilibriums are informational,
Look at the friends we have made,
On our physics crusade,
Walking in a wondrous physicsland.
