Recession
Retails
Editorial :
The job loses and its impact on the economy: The Recent resection has put many people under pressure. Great deals of people have lost their job and became homeless this year. This is all due to people losing their jobs and having no income. This situation in our economy is going no where as a major Ottawa call center the Heron Road Center lays off 800 of its employees it will take a long time for us to come out of this recession. Ottawa was recovering very fast from this recession but with this many jobless people are we ever going to start getting back on track with our economy? Shop direct in the UK is also looking at letting 1500 employees go due to no one calling to buy their products, instead people go online to do their shopping. But this company is making some room of 350 people to maintain their website but that wont be enough to get the UK economy up either. Back in the US president Barack Obama is Turing all his focus on the economy. He is promising to help small businesses and support road construction to help build some jobs for people. even though many are mad that he is focusing more on job creation than healthcare reform this will help America slowly come out of the resection and help the rest of the world as well. The German industrial company Siemens AG is looking at dropping 2000 jobs by the end of 2012. Meaning that this resection might be getting worse in the European countries. Germany is a country that supports its citizens but if lots of people go jobless than the whole country might crash due the taxpayer not paying the government to support them selves. But the company is trying to reduce the impact of their move by letting people go slowly and not suddenly so they have time to look for other jobs. They way things are looking so far it seems that this resection is getting worse and more jobs are being cut than the governments of these countries is trying to produce. The government is promising us that we are slowly coming out of the resection but if people keep losing their jobs how will that be possible?
