Love not me for comely grace,
No, nor for my constant heart:
For my pleasing eye or face;
Nor for any outward part,
For those may fail or turn to ill,
Keep therefore a true woman's eye,
So thou and I shall sever.
So hast thou the same reason still
And love me still, but know not why;
To doat upon me ever.
*note* i did not write this poem and take no credit for writing it (though i wish i could! its soooo beautiful!) this is a poem by John Wilbye :)
