Sitting alone, there's no one else here, There's a pain inside she just cant bare, Her life sucks, her parents are cruel, Another punishment, another rule. She wants to go, live a new life, A happy one with no strife, Should she kill herself or run away, Both things she couldn’t do they say. But she knows she could do either one, Just slice a little deeper or run, run, run, No one would miss her, 'cause no one cares, That’s what she thinks when she see's tears. So she hides in her room after doing chores, She goes to her wardrobe, gets the stuff she stores, She ties the rope and cuts deeper, Kicks away the chair and becomes a sleeper. At that point she wakes with a start, To the beating of her beating heart, Damn she thinks, it was just a dream, Then all of a sudden she hears a scream. Her little step brother runs into her room, Tripping over things in the gloom, He runs and jumps onto her bed, She see's fresh blood on his head. Her step father must of beaten him again tonight, And he's too young to put up a fight, So she lets him sleep with her, And she basically hears him purr. Then she gets out of bed and begins to write, It all started one cold dark night.
