I find myself in the desert of nothing.
I walk on the road of burned hopes,
without purpose, without direction.
The hot sun blades pierce my skin relentlessly.
I wipe off the drops of sweat from my forehead,
but my hand stays dry.
I keep on walking.
Why?
I do not know. Where I want to go? I have no idea.
Struggle for survival burns my tongue. I feel how the dry wind blows
away my last remaining strength. I long for the cold summer rain drops,
breaking through my body. How I regret now that I have always tried
to hide from my own salvation. When the last vestiges remain, like written in the sand,
are washed from the tar waters of the sea and when I know that this is the end,
the light of hope shines in the distance like a bright star rising on the endless horizon.
It breaks the barrier of reconciliation and spills all over my body.
Is it reality or just a mirage caused by the agony of dying? My time ends.
If I do not follow that beam of salvation now,
I will stay here forever,
swallowed up by time.
