George H.W Bush
After the presidency, his wife and him went back to Houston, Texas, to settle a private life, and reclaimed their lives as citizens again. While George was president, he accomplished many things. Some were: being the first president to execute a federal prisoner,he attacked and took over two countries,he cut unemployment benefits for more out of work Americans than any other president has done...ect...
When George was running for president, he was running against Michael Dukakis! In 1980, George campaigned for the Republican nomination for president. Sadly he lost, but was chosen as a running mate served by Ronald Regan.
George h.w Bush is the 41st president of the United states. He was born on June 12,1924 in Milton Massachussetts. George was a Texas Businessman, drilling for oil! He made a fortune! The two initials in George Bush's name stands for Herbert Walker. George married Barboza Pierce of Rye, Ny in 1945. George is still alive, and still with his wife.
George became interested in public service and politics, like his father Prescott Bush, which was elected a Senator in 1952, in Conneticut. George wanted to be like his father. Like father like son. But George wanted to be president. George started learning everything he needed to know about being the President of the United States. 1.) native born 2.)a citizen 35 years of age. and 3.) lived in the U.S for atleast 14 yrs. George's mother is Dorothy Walker Bush.
George went to school at Yale University. He is a graduate of the year of 1948. He graduated with a degree in economics. Yes, he married before he graduated... he married in 1945, and graduated school in 1948!!!
