I MISS YOU
This is Max, my big teddy bear, he was the first dog we ever had, and he was my brother. We saved Max from an abusive home. My dad came home from work one day and looked at my mom with big puppy dog eyes and asked in a puppy voice, 'can i have a dog?' And the next day Max came running into our north coralina home. He was an adolescent and very playful. The first thing Max did was dash through the house, run straight into my parents bedroom, and drank from their toilet! Then he ran straight back out the front door and down the street with my dad chasing after him. I was 6 yrs old when we got him and me and my sister would always lock him in our room with us to dress him up in our dress-up clothes. And when my mom came to look for him he'd just take off out the door dressed as a princess and all. He never snapped or bit us even when me and sister drove him insane or when i got a baby brother who love to crawl all over him and yank/bite on his ears. He was truely happy and grateful for the new home and family. He used to sleep in my bed, and for a awhile i couldn't sleep unless i could hear his snoring. He was smart and caring. He ran away once and felt so bad that he brought every stray ball and pinecone he could find and put them on our porch. And he always came home. Whenever someone was crying he would cuddle with them and lick their tears away. He truely was man's best friend- he truely was my best friend. He was 12 years old when we had to put him to sleep. His hips weren't attached to the socket and we never knew.. He couldn't walk- he could even get up, he was in so much pain. He stayed up all the night crying and whining alone on his bed on the middle floor because he couldn't climb stairs. And when he went, he went fast- he was old and tired. I miss him every day. I love you maxiepoo.
