One Year Together
It's been one year since you asked It's been one year since I said yes But it was from the first time I saw you That I've been drawn to you We started as friends And friends we remain to this day You say you're the lucky one but that's surely me You saved me from myself You added purpose to my life And taught me how to smile To truely be happy again It's been one year so lets make it two And keep doubling it for years to come Then maybe, just maybe I'll be able to give you half of what you've given me For you deserve that and so much more So I'll try hard and do my best Although I know it will never be enough Not for the one I love so much
