The other girls dance around the fire. I laugh along with everyone else. It is not uncommon to see girls dancing around a fire. In fact it is uncommon to see a girl not dancing around the fire. But I myself am uncommon. For the limbs of the maiden have fire dancing around them instead of the other way around. I am the firebird. I am his child. I am his daughter. And like the flames these human girls danced around, I am wild. Dance with us, the flames seem call to me. And I accept. As I dance, becoming more wild with ever step, the fire becomes hotter and bigger. I do not fear this for when you walk with flame coursing through your veins, you cannot fear blistering. I forget what's right and proper, dancing right now is all I think about. Once apon a time, I would have been uncomfortable with them looking at me. Now I embrace it. I am only half human and the other half makes me stronger. Now? I am the boldest song ever heard. I am a flame. I am the boldest song ever heard. For me burning, is flying. The drums beat and I start singing. . .
This story is inspired by the song playing.
