Gold ,God, and Glory is what the Spanish wanted. They wanted to convert the Native Americans to believe in Christianity. They wanted Gold, and to be famous.
A mission is a religious settlement. People who lived there are Friars and Native Americans. They taught Native Americans how to speak Spanish, pottery and military drills.
