Theme- True love is worth fighting for. Symbolism- Their bed symolizes Odysseus and Penelopes bond, and how they built a home. Conflict- the conflict is that Penelope is not sure whether or not to believe that the real Odysseus has returned to h er. She believes it may be a god. Setting- The setting is in Ithica, in the bedroom of Odysseus and Penelope.

Epic Hero- Odysseus is an epic hero because he finds his way all the way back to Penelope after twenty years and shows how much he really loves her.
