The Door To Yesterday N. Andreasen 2005
Today I found a door, A secret little door, I opened up this hidden door And beheld one of my yesterdays A quiet room, in a quiet house This distant memory. An old rocking chair There beneath the window. A table, laid for tea with roses in a vase, Chairs sit waiting for some expected guest. Shelves with books line the walls, With stories of fairies and warriors. Knick knacks, dragons and the like, Sit in open spaces waiting to come to life. And there upon the window sill, A small plant still flowers. Today I opened a door And entered into yesterday.
