Biography Peter Paul Rubens had a pretty good life. His dad died in 1587 when he was ten but thats not the good part yet. Even though he was baptized a Calvinist in Germany, he became a devout convert to Catholicism.. He was one of the most successful artist of his time. Some of his paintings are ''The Elevation of the Cross'' and ''Descent from the cross'' and ''The Tiger Hunt''.
Facts He was one of the most successful artist of his time, with a huge workshop of artist who compleated many of his commissions. Peter Paul Rubens was regarded as the most important creator of BNaroque art. As a diplomat, he used his cheerful personality and broad human intrests to work for the cause of peace. He was the son of a Protestant attorney from Antwerp, who moved to Germany to escape religious persicution
