My brother is a miracle baby. He was born with Craniosynostosis which is when one or more of the structures in an infant skull prematurely fuse together, changing the growth patteren of the skull. Because the skull cannot expand perpendicular to the fused structure, it compensates by growing more in the direction perpendicular to the open structures.The resulting growth pattern provides the necessary space for the growing brain, but results in an abnormal head shape and sometimes abnormal facial features. In some cases when the space for the growing brain is too little visual impairment can take place so can an impairment in mental devolopment.

he wanted cupcakes at midnight so my grandma rushed and made him some.

Evan underwent a total of 7 major sugeries on his head and eye(he had a "droopy" eye) He has over 100 plates and screws in his head. Now hes a happy little guy the only differnce is he has a scar across the top of his head. Dr.Smith a plastic surgeon at Knoxville's Childrens Hospital and his staff were so good to my family and evan ,they saved his life.
