he was a horse that everyone knew. he was america's horse. a fighter all the way up to his death. do not forget barbaro.
2006 Kentucky Derby Champion, Barbaro, shattered his left hind leg during the running of the 2006 Preakness Stakes. Shortly after the New Year, Barbaro was humanely euthanized. The colt's legend lives on in the hearts of those that he had touched. Jockey Edgar Prado was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2008. Barbaro is still talked about years later.
