Julius Caesar life had a tragic end when he was murdered. He spent his whole life striving to be emperor of the Ancient city of Rome. One of the three genres Shakespeare liked to write about was tragedy. It seemed fitting for Shakespeare to write a tragic play about Julius Caesar.
Skakespear wrote plays/sonnets during two time periods. The first was during Queen Elizabeth I reign and the second was when King James I. Shakespear acting company formed in 1594. The Globe Theatre became their home in 1599. The company decided to rename themselves as The King's Men in horon of King James I. James allowed them to preform anywhere the company wished.
The Globe Theatre was built in 1599 and was co-owned by Shakespeare. The theatre itself is 3 storey and has around 3000 capacity. The Globe is considered one of the greatest buildings ever made.
