Environmental Issues
Water scarcity is a big issue in the world. There isn't enough water to go around. Thousands of people people die from contaminated water and from lack of water every day. To solve this, we could develop ways to conserve water, prevent leaks, use more effcient irrigation techniques, and to conserve water in general.
Soil erosion occurs over a long period of time. The problem is that the soil is eroding faster than it can be replenished. It contaminates water and hurts sea life. It also contributes to flooding and endangers boats. A solution for this issue is to use better farming techniques.
We are running out of fossil fuels and the use of these fuels pollute the earth. These fuels are in very high demand, but they are running out. A soultion to this problem is for people to conserve as much energy as possible and to find new sources of energy.
Deforestation is when forests are cut down for agricultural purposes, for land, or for lumber. Animals loose their homes, the oil erodes, and the trees can't filter the air. To solve this problem, there could be laws against deforestation and people could try to reforest areas.
Coral reefs are being destroyed by improper fishing techniques and from tourists having contact with them. To help coral reefs survive, there could be laws estblished against harmful fishing techniques and there could be more restrictions on how close tourists can get to the reefs.
Acid rain damages buildings, crops, and damages natural life. To aid this issue, cleaner fuel could be used and energy could be conserved.
Many animals are becoming endangered or extinct because of loss of homes, because of pollution, and because of climate change. To address this issue, there could be more laws against poaching and deforestation, educating people about animals and how important they are to the environment, and also work on preserving the environment.
