Christmas 2010
You've put a song in my heart, beautiful King, beautiful Lord. You've put a voice my to lips, beautiful friend, beautiful love. this heart flourishes under your rain, under your light and under your life and no one can withstand witholding a bloom, just like the roses can't hold back blossoming for you. your fragrance draws me to the tabernacle of your love. it was your love that removed the veil, you've removed the very thing that witheld you from me. there is nothing to contain you, no barrier between your heart and mine, a chance to come away and be awakened to you.. my heart is yours.
making a list.. checking it twice..
It springs up like a garden, like a fountain or a fire; a song in the mouths and hearts of the children of God, the ransomed of the Lord. It comes in the breeze and in the vines wrapped in the trees that secures the very breath of life to flow into the lungs of those who breathe. There is no song like the new song, there is no joy like the one on the tip of the tongue-waiting to sing along with creation to the melodies of the heavenlies. I've tasted and seen the goodness of my God and can't hold back what this season is bearing its' fruit for. This is the song, that testimony of life, that draws me closer to the heart of God. -And in it, there is the strength and the rest and the refreshing rain that gives my heart a song to sing.

The season of singing has come
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Seasons Greetings! I hope everyone is warm & cozy surrounded by friends and loved ones.. 2010 has been a great year spent in Charlotte, NC, I've met some great friends, learned the best routes to get around in the queen city traffic, missed the salt air of my home town and went to see the panthers (we lost. BIG TIME), My niece Jada has turned 7 in July and is doing well in 2nd grade. Sydney is about to turn 6 on December 15th and they are growing up so fast!! I've had the opportunity to take many road trips with friends to Hilton Head, Savannah, Charleston, Boone, Atlanta, Nashville, Richmond, and more! This holiday season is very busy, of course.. I've got tickets to the Nutcracker for tomorrow night and and this brings me to my big news.. There is yet another change in my life! I'm moving to Atlanta, GA on 12/12/10! I've received a great job offer there as a Regional Field Manager for RF Installations and already I love my new boss! My apt is full of moving boxes and cleaning supplies and I haven't even started my Christmas shopping.. yikes. I've been working out my notice here and have been too busy packing my life here to find out about everyone else's year. I miss you all very much and I wish you the warmest of holidays.. So tell me, how is your holiday season going? Much Love, Ashley Rebbert
a few of my favorite holiday things.. the movie White Christmas, listening to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Rosemary Clooney and Elvis Presley sing Christmas songs, driving around at pretty neighborhoods covered in twinkle lights, the Starbucks Christmas Blend brewing on early, cold mornings, the hustle & bustle, catching up with family & friends, going to midnight mass with my dad every year on Christmas Eve, hearing nieces ask their favorite auntie for zebra snuggies and barbies and bundling up in sweaters & scarves.. the smell of winter, baking all the time, bonfires and marshmellows and making memories. :)
