PATRIOTISM
But when one stands up for peace and the prevention of war one has the highest regard for our country. Instead of having us fight another nation’s war that has nothing to do with our beliefs or preservation of our country. They worry about how to improve the economy and make are country soar to the way it was before.
When one stands up for their country in times of war could be one of the best ways to change your country. Instead of forfeiting your rights and way of life to the ones who see your way of life wrong you stand up and reply “No, stay out of my country. We won’t stand by and let you press your government style on us. We are purely a democracy country and that is what we will always be.”
To me patriotism is when you stand up for one’s country in times of both peace and war. I believe that if you’re not patriotic for your country then you have COMPLETELY lost faith in your government and country. Yes, the government officials may have torn are country apart by considering only their achievements in the long run but we have it better than almost all, if not all, of the countries when it comes to rights.
